Fall 2022 | Professor: Zachariah Michielli
This course served as my introduction to the fundamentals of architectural design. We covered core design principles and focused on form, space, and structure. The class encourages us to not only focus on what we’re making, but also how to think critically about what and why were making it.
We worked on different studio projects, which let us explore how design relates to the world around us. We were encouraged to observe, discover, and think about the build environment in new ways. For the final, we designed a house for a real plot of land on Pine Street. We created drawings and physical models for the space we were provided.
